Do I have to move my website?

No. SuiteStatic attaches to the site you already have, wherever it is hosted. There is no theme to adopt, no migration and no change to how you deploy.

What kind of website does this work with?

Anything that serves HTML. Eleventy, Hugo, Astro, Jekyll, Next static exports, or a folder of hand-written pages. If you can paste a script tag into it, it works.

Do I need to know how to code?

You need to be able to paste three tags into your HTML. Everything after that — products, orders, shipping, email — is done in the dashboard.

Where does the money go?

Into your own Stripe account. Payments settle directly to you and we are not in the middle of them. Our fee is taken per transaction at the time it is processed.

Is it secure? Where are card details stored?

Card details are entered on payment pages hosted by Stripe and go straight to them. They never reach our servers and are never written to our database. We hold only Stripe references, which are useless without Stripe's own credentials.

How are shipping rates calculated?

From live USPS, UPS and FedEx rates for the customer's real address, priced on the actual weight and dimensions of what is in the cart. Adding a second item resizes the parcel rather than only adding weight.

Can I offer free shipping?

Yes, automatically above a threshold, or behind a promo code. You can also offer free local delivery to a list of ZIP codes you deliver to yourself.

How do I ship an order?

Open the order in your dashboard. The parcel is already sized from the items. Pick a service, buy the postage at cost, print the label, and tracking is emailed to your customer automatically.

Do I need a card on file?

Yes, to buy shipping labels. Postage is bought for you at the moment you click, so it is billed to your card at cost. You do not need one to take orders.

Can I sell variants and options?

Yes. Variants such as sizes carry their own price, weight and dimensions. Options such as grind or colour are chosen per line item and do not multiply your product list.

What happens to abandoned carts?

If a shopper entered an email before leaving, the cart is recorded and you can send them a recovery link that restores what they had.

Can I cancel?

Any time, from your dashboard, in about as many steps as it took to subscribe. Access continues to the end of the month you have paid for.
